Chef Monica Stinson, head chef at Price Middle. The first time food from the farm reached her kitchen, she built a month of lunches around its okra, gumbo included.

That’s why this is a working farm as well as a school garden: sales and donations both come from the same soil. In 2025 alone, more than $22,000 in food value flowed back into the South Atlanta food system: the Slater Co-op, the COR pantry, the Price and Carver cafeterias, neighborhood events.
